A Nepal tour offers a unique blend of cultural, natural, historical, and geographical diversity. People can enjoy both cultural sites and mountain landscapes. With more than 121 ethnic groups speaking over 125 different languages, Nepal is incredibly rich in cultural diversity. Each ethnic group has its own distinct culture, customs, festivals, and lifestyle. This tour provides the perfect opportunity to discover their inner beauty and experience the local way of life. We strive to design our itinerary with more interaction with local communities and greater involvement with local businesses. This tour not only promotes the places visited but also helps the local community grow economically. By choosing local homestays and restaurants over tourist-centric ones, we encourage local people to work in their own communities and help them sustain themselves.
All Nepal tours start in the capital city, Kathmandu, where you will spend a few days exploring UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In addition to these sites, we will also visit Nagarkot Hill or Chandragiri Hill, the ancient city of Kritipur, and several monasteries. During your Kathmandu city tour, you will be surprised by the unique mix of Hinduism and Buddhism in one place. Don’t forget to visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, home to the Living Goddess Kumari, and experience pottery making in Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Also, be sure to taste some Newari dishes, including Juju Dhau (a traditional yogurt dessert) and momo (dumplings) during your visit to Kathmandu.
After the cultural tour, you will be welcomed to the natural beauty of Chitwan National Park. In Chitwan, you can see a variety of wildlife, including one-horned rhinos, elephants, deer, and sometimes even tigers and crocodiles. The park is also home to many bird species, flora, and fauna. You will also have the chance to experience the local Tharu community’s cultural activities and learn about their way of life. The main attractions of the national park are canoeing and jeep safaris, ensuring that you will enjoy the natural beauty of the trip.
Following the nature experience, you will be welcomed to one of the most sacred places in the world, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha. After a few hours’ drive from Chitwan, you will arrive in Lumbini, where you can visit numerous temples. In Lumbini, you will visit the Mayadevi Temple, many monasteries built by different nations, and the World Peace Pagoda. You can also enjoy a local rickshaw ride during your time in Lumbini and witness a different cultural and linguistic atmosphere compared to Kathmandu.
After visiting the Peace Stupa, you will have the opportunity to stay in the tranquil mountain town of Palpa Tansen. Palpa is well-known for its traditional Dhaka Topi (local fabric cap), Karuwa (traditional water jar), and Chukauni (mashed potatoes with yogurt). You can observe local people working to make fabric and brown water jars. If you’re a hiking enthusiast, don’t miss the hike to the Shrenagar View Tower, from which you can enjoy views of the Dhaulagiri mountain range and other peaks.
After Palpa, you will travel to Pokhara, the “City of Lakes.” Pokhara is the gateway to the Annapurna region trek, and there are several trekking routes starting from here, so you will meet many trekkers. Known as the “seven-lake city,” Pokhara offers opportunities to explore its lakes, and strolling around Lakeside is a delightful experience. Normally, we allocate two full days to explore Pokhara. Afterward, you will visit Bandipur, a beautiful traditional town nestled in the mountains. After spending one night there, you will return to Kathmandu.
In about 15 days, you will experience most of the attractions Nepal has to offer, including its cultural, historical, religious, and natural sites, as well as its flora and fauna. We hope this trip will not feel rushed or stressful for those who enjoy both nature and culture. This comprehensive itinerary covers a variety of sites and activities, giving you an unforgettable experience.
If you are looking for a tour that involves interaction with locals and offers a wide variety of sites, this trip will be perfect for you. We hope your journey will be memorable for a lifetime. Namaste.
